An hour’s drive from Postojna to Ljubljana is just enough to get the basis about the city from our local expert. At the arrival, we visit the more distant points of interest by bus, but the real thing is the historical centre. Our guide takes us walking the Triple Bridge, the Old City Hall, the Cathedral, the Open Air Market. Together we discover an exciting story of a city two thousand years old. We pass numerous masterpieces of our best architect Josef Plecnik, we follow narrow, medieval lanes, admire colorful facades and visit the ancient Castle. There is a unique view of half the country from there, providing the weather is right.

  

Then we descend and join the lively bustle of the city, browse, sample some local food at he Market or just relax at a sidewalk café… perhaps we visit a gallery or one of the host of antique shops, drop into a museum… until there’s the time to return.
